Please find attached the new version of Delete_Icon. Changes since the first version:

  • Now can delete multiple icons at once either through drag-and-drop on AppWindow. drag-and-drop on icon in Amistart or from the shell. Note this has meant changes in how it's used from the shell and Amistart - please see included guide.
  • Amigaguide instructions in English, Italian, Spanish, French and German*
  • Catalogs included for Italian, Spanish, French and German*
  • Summary instructions for use available from AppWindow menu and an argumant of '?' or '-h' from shell.

*Plese note translations are via AmiTranslate and so may not be entirely accurate. I've inlcuded the .cd (in the English drawer) and .ct localisation files so anyone wishes to edit please feel free.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Perfect ntromans, I like the animation, I created the Icons for the programme, Catalog and Guide Documents !

The complete Delete_Icons folder has been installed in SYS:System, if there are no major changes in the Core, Delete_Icons along with the latest updates will be distributed with AROS One 2.5 Update 1 which you can install conveniently via InstallerLG

For AmiStart created new Icons on the vertical bar, see screenshot, now have better visibility.
The style is the one used for AROS One 68k, but in the future it may also become the default icon for AROS One x86.

New Descriptors were created and others improved, now the most common Floppy, CD-DVD, HD and HardFile images are recognised by Wanderer even if the files have no extension.

Of course if anyone is interested in a particular Descriptor for a particular file format, and having an associated Def_Icon, they can request one.

Regarding Floppy Images (.IMG) and HD Images (.IMG), despite the same extension, the Workbench will know which Def_Icon and which tool to use, see screenshot

Of course, these Descriptors also work perfectly on AMiGA OS3 and OS4.

An exclusive gift to all AROS One users from developer Juan Carlos !

The final version of "Pintor Wb" has been released. Compared to the previous version, this new release includes improvements and a few more effects/filters.

Pintor Wb comes with a manual that includes practical examples of what the application can do, and unlike the version uploaded to the AROS archives, the AROS One version includes a few extra features and the registration key that unlocks the option to save images

Of course, those who do not use AROS One can make a personal request for the registration key directly to the developer as described in the manual.

Excellent and very long video review made by "Amiten TV" on AROS One, I would say quite detailed where all the functions and qualities of AROS One are shown, some small inaccuracies on the Apps and some problems in closing the Shell of "Sashimi" the equivalent of the Old SnoopDos, which like him closes with the CTR-C.

"Amiten TV" uses a fully supported PC, 3D Video Card, Sound Card, Network Card

Don't trust this guy, he's not going to do anything for AROS if there's no money, he made the video for his own ego because of his stupid competition with Amigawave, both want to be the kings of the Amiga scene in Spain. But really support the Amiga.

Juan I appreciated the dissemination of this video which gave AROS One a chance to be known by many other users.

He doesn't have many followers, he treats people quite badly because he doesn't accept criticism, on AROS' Facebook, he insulted me seriously and we know each other and we never had problems, but he didn't like my opinion about that video, because in reality he makes videos because of the enmity that he and the Amiwave have, I got a prize that day. Only you take care with him.

Updated the Opus 4 Directory config which, thanks to its versatility and the new Datatypes Descriptors created by me, can now display all popular formats such as: BMP, GIF, ILBM, JPG, PCX, PNG, PPM, SVG, TGA, TIFF, WEBP, XBM, XPM, images will be recognised automatically even if they are without extension.

The default viewer of Dopus4 is Multiview but you can also view images with other Tools available on the Tabs.

The only format not supported by Dopus4 and Multiview at the moment is "TIFF" this is due to the lack of the "TIFF.Datatype" on AROS, datatypes that are in the works and will soon be available for AROS.

Of course on AROS not all viewers need datatypes to display TIFFs, there are some viewers that have internal codecs that allow them to handle TIFF images.

Thanks to the Datatypes Descriptors, Wanderer will also recognise the graphic formats BMP, GIF, ILBM, JPG, PCX, PNG, PPM, SVG, TGA, TIFF, WEBP, XBM, XPM even if they have no extension.

Please note that if an image has a wrong extension, Wanderer will assign the correct icon and tool according to the type of image, the wrong extension will be ignored.

New version of 'Crono', a programme for creating Monthly or Yearly Calendars styled as Grids or as Lists.

Crono allows you to add backgrounds in the most common graphic formats, choose the colour of the Calendar background, supports 26 languages, multiple print formats, mark particular days as holidays with the colour of your choice, and save the Calendar as a PDF.

You will find the new "Chrono" on AROS One v2.5 Upadate 1

deadwood is working on the new Core based on the codebase "20221221", if this will happen soon probably instead of the Update 1 of AROS One v2.5 will be the new version 2.6 will be distributed, if this will not happen by the end of summer, then the update will be available for download.

AROS One has become the distribution of choice for many new AROS users due to its completeness and continuous updates, all advice or help to improve the distribution will be appreciated.

Those strange characters happen with some GUIs when you widen or narrow the GUI, this problem has been reported!
