I do plan to follow the guide on the PiStorm GitHub page to setup AfA OS for my A1200.

It's going to be an adventure! I wonder if it uses Amiga ROM files or AROS ROM files?

as far as I know it is a backport of parts of aros to add features like themeing. Not using the roms.

But as you mentioned the roms... I am also testing on amigaos 3.1 and funnily the aros roms work in whdload even on 3.1.

No OlafSch there is nothing about AROS, as mentioned above, CaffeineOS is OS 3.9 based, so it can only boot with Kickstart 3.1, then through the Statup-sequence the Kickstart will update with "Amiga ROM Update BB2".

Installing AfA OS on CaffeineOS will be a challenge, there are too many incompatibilities starting with VisualPrefs that you will have to remove, read the AfA OS instructions to find out which software conflicts.

Remember, if after you install AfA OS you encounter problems (black screen), you can boot the system by holding down the mouse buttons, left button disable AFA OS, right button disable AfA OS and RTG.
