Consider using special version only for youtube and regular version for other sites.

I have found the same error on Zune after saving, even if you do an Iconify, again a prompt to enter volume "2" appears, in some cases also a prompt for volume "7", I attach an exhaustive video.

I also encountered a strange thing, if you run Zune Prefs on a Clean Build, and make a save "without modifying anything" the save file "global.prefs" becomes much smaller, it's as if it doesn't save all the default settings!

Thanks - I'll add it to their 'tips' page where you can submit news items.

If it helps, the same problem occurs with mui-aylet (found on aros archive)

EDIT:
Some software such as "SonosController" after saving asks you to enter the volume

Just a thought - is it worth sharing the news of the OWB 2 on Hackaday.com? On that site they do have articles on alternative operating systems (they feature Haiku quite regularly, but it looks like the last AROS report was back in 2015) and often bemoan the lack of choice in web browsers. Also of course a good way to spread the news of the developments in AROS over the last few years :-)

Cheers,
Nigel.

@deadwood

Unfortunately it doesn't happen all the time, sometimes it works fine, I enclose a short video, I used a clean updated Build.

The test is on WMware, but 1.26 has never given me this problem!

@AMIGASYSTEM

I will check if I get the same behavior
EDIT: I tried downloading the file you mentioned several times on both 32-bit and 64-bit version and each time the file was downloaded correctly. Which network drivers are you using and were you doing something else with network (like watching YT) when the file was downloading?

@serk118uk

If OWB 1.26 keeps working for you for github than that's good there is a workaround. From what I read from MorphOS forums people have issues with Github even with much Wayfarer versions having much newer WebKit engine so Github seems to be very picky.

Serk, you can use Gmail through the Yahoo interface as I described here:

https://www.arosw...#post_6751

Downloading and sending attachments works.

deadwood, I don't know if this is my problem, but with OWB 2.0/2.1 I have found that some downloads do not download, or download partially, and in the gui in the filenames you can see strange fonts.

The problem should occur if you download files from arosarchive, for example "raygui.i386-aros.zip".

It seems, but I may be wrong, that this problem occurs when the file names incudes the dot (.)

Yahoo is a very good mail service, but more importantly if like me you use Gmail on a daily basis, it is possible to synchronize Gmail with Yahoo and use email via the Yahoo site (unfortunately the Gmail site from google does not work properly in the current version of OWCool.

We log in to the Yahoo home page (“Sign in”) and select “Sign in with Google”. The first time we log in, we will be asked for permission to synchronize and to grant permissions for the Yahoo application.

Note that this first login needs to be done on a computer with a newer browser, as OWB has problems on the consent approval subpage.

Once you sync Gmail and Yahoo, you can log in to your Gmail account via Yahoo using OWB without any problems.

Here is a new build:

https://axrt.org/development/owb/i386/OWB_2.1-20241110.zip

It should make the network work a bit faster and also solves the crash with captcha on mail.yahoo.com (and with captcha in general)

@serk, Amiwell - this build does not have special changed needed for you for YT. Keep using your special version for YT.

deadwood, on OWB Zune Preferences, after you save, even without modifying anything, there is always the problem of the volume "2" request and the graphic artefacts, I made a little video about it!

On other ZUNE applications tested this problem does not happen !

On the site https://online2pd... I tried to convert files in PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ODS AND EPUB formats and on OWB 2.0 all conversions worked perfectly.

Two sites for reading these file types did not work, the tested sti are these:

https://products....rds/viewer

https://xodo.com/...ore-office

I did an online search to see if you can use useful tools that are missing on aros with OWB 2.0 there is a wide choice from 3D modelling to video editing

It has been a hard four month of development and testing and I'm pretty happy with the results. Thank you to everyone who report issues and tested. Here is a greate release video by @retrofaza:
